Colleen Aubrey and Brittany Huff each had three hits and the Hawaii Hilo softball team beat Cal State East Bay 5-1 to win the bronze bracket of the Tournament of Champions in Turlock, Calif., on Sunday.
The Vulcans beat Notre Dame de Namur 6-2 to reach the final.
Danielle Wilson earned the win in the circle for Hilo, throwing a three-hitter with three walks in the title game. Vanessa Salinas threw a four-hitter in the win over Notre Dame de Namur.
Aubrey and Salinas were selected to the all-tournament team. The Vulcans hit .360 in the tournament, the highest average in the field.
In other tournament games, Hawaii Pacific lost to Cal State Monterey Bay 9-5 in the silver bracket and Chaminade lost to PacWest foe Academy of Art 13-3 in the consolation round.
